Mobile Family Interaction

Archive for April 2011

The deadline of the workshop position papers has been extended.

The new deadline is 24th of April, so there’s still time to think and submit your thoughts.

We are happy to announce that Gitte Stald, an associate professor in Digital cultures and mobile communication research group at the IT University of Copenhagen, has accepted our invitation to be a keynote speaker in the MobileCHI 2011 workshop.

Her background is extensively in adolescents’ digital media culture and mobile media. She has also participated in the EU Kids Online-research project. I’m extremely interested to hear Gitte’s thoughts on this topic and also comments to workshop papers.

On behalf of the organizers,

Mobile Family Interaction : MobileCHI 2011 workshop

We invite cross-disciplinary research on kids' use of mobile technology by themselves and in family context to join together to discuss the findings in a Mobile CHI workshop.

The aim is to be broad, including but not limited empirical research on actual use, case studies of campaigns and efforts to improve media literacy skills and parent-child and child-child mediation and to present studies on novel and innovative concepts that help family life.
